A former Catholic nun has triggered a nationwide discussion after publicly sharing a troubling account of abuse and manipulation within the Church.

In a viral Facebook post, the ex-sister revealed that she was expelled from her religious congregation because she refused to give in to indecent advances. “I lost my place for refusing to become a church prostitute,” she wrote, describing the deep wounds she suffered while serving as a devoted woman of faith.

The woman, identified as Sister Kinse Annastasia, used her post to expose what she called the untold hardships endured by many women serving in religious orders. She firmly stated that nuns are not the personal property or companions of priests but servants dedicated to prayer and service.

Annastasia narrated how some priests have exploited their authority to take advantage of sisters, lamenting that the silence maintained within the Church has allowed such abuse to thrive. She also condemned certain religious superiors who mistreat their subordinates, stressing that such acts weaken the credibility and sanctity of religious life.

She warned that silence only emboldens abusers and damages the image of the Church. In her appeal, Annastasia called on Church leaders to provide secure and transparent avenues for reporting abuse without fear of punishment.

Concluding her statement, she pledged to support every sincere reform initiative that promotes justice and respect within the Church. Her bold confession has sparked emotional responses from both clergy and lay members, igniting renewed calls for investigation and accountability across religious institutions.
