Popular actress Lydia Gitachu, better known by her stage name Teacher Chebby on Tahidi high show has confessed that she regrets the day she met her white ex husband.
In a candid interview with content creator Hiram Maina, Lydia said that the man was violent and made her develop abandonment issues that are yet to heal up to date.
She stayed in the abusive relationship for 2 years. She advises people to always walk out of such relationships soon enough to avoid life long damage. Her current husband with whom she’s been married to for 10 years has had to be very patient with her in order for the marriage to work.
On her career life, Lydia revealed that her TV debut was in 2002 when she got an always sanitary pads commercial. After that, he got a role in a show at KBC before moving to Tahidi high show on citizen TV in 2006.
In 2009, she resigned from Citizen TV and joined a show at BBC. The show was her breakthrough. She would be paid 100,000 Kenyan shillings per episode. By the end of the show, she was able to boost the life of her grandparents.
Lydia is currently acting on the show Kina which is aired on Maisha Magic East. She advises actors to have a positive mindset and always be self disciplined in every show that they act in.
