In a long and honest story, Lydia shared how she did too much for a man who gave very little back.
She says everything started in January 2017. At that time, she was dating her boyfriend, and they were living together. They agreed to split house bills equally, rent, food, and other costs were 50-50.
But Lydia says her duties did not stop at home. One day, she traveled all the way to Nakuru to help his sister go back to school.
She paid school fees and bought the sister shopping items, even though she was not his wife.
At the same time, Lydia says she was also sending money to his mother.
“I was sending his mum money every month. Sometimes every week,” she shared.
She explains that the money was meant to help his mother manage things at home.
What hurt her most is that while she was helping his family, her boyfriend was not generous to her.
She felt the load was too heavy. “I was paying at home and still supporting his family,” she said.

She says she tried her best to be supportive, submissive, and understanding.
“I did everything,” she explained. “If supporting a man was the key to marriage, I would be first in line.”
Lydia also shared a sad dating experience. She remembers being taken on a “date” at a supermarket in Mountain Mall.
“I was taken to Naivas,” she said.
Shockingly, Lydia ended up paying for the food herself. They then sat in the café area inside the supermarket.
Even when she asked for proper dates, things did not improve.
She says when you force dates with someone who does not care, you will still pay for everything, food, transport, and even matatu fare.
