Winnie Odinga has sparked an emotional conversation online after sharing a late-night post in memory of her late brother, Fidel Odinga.

Winnie shared an old photo of herself and Fidel together before posting a brief but touching caption that read: “11 years already! I miss you every day & in every way Baba Allay. 2/11/73 – 4/1/15.”

The post marked another painful milestone since Fidel’s death and quickly resonated with many Kenyans who still remember the shock that followed his passing.

Fidel Odinga, late Raila Odinga’s firstborn son, died on January 4, 2015, at the age of 41. His sudden death stunned the nation and led to an outpouring of grief from political leaders, friends, and ordinary citizens.

At the time, Fidel was known for his outspoken nature, strong political views, and close bond with his family, particularly his father and siblings.

The photo shared by Winnie added a deeply personal touch to her message, reminding many of the close relationship the two shared.

Over the years, the Odinga family has continued to honor Fidel through anniversaries and tributes, often describing him as loving, protective, and full of life.

Winnie’s post served as a reminder that grief has no timeline and that memories of loved ones endure long after they are gone.
