Bishop Ben, was consecrated as a bishop on June 21, 2024. His consecration took place at the Jesus Compassion Ministries (JCM) Church in Ruiru, Kiambu County, in a colorful ceremony attended by politicians, including Kenya’s Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, and Kikuyu celebrities.
Bishop Kiengei’s journey to becoming a bishop was significant, considering his earlier career as a comedian and radio presenter. However , the journey has been full of ups and down following due to some controversies . The recent one was about body shaming Pritty Vishy and now Mp Kururia has elicited mixed reactions today after revealing what Kiengei has been doing .
The Mp said that he respects Bishop Harrison Ng’ang’a who preceded the occasion , however, he was lied by Kiengei for what he has been allegedly doing .
According to Kururia , Kiengei lied Bishop Harrison that he has one wife to fit the ordination to be Bishop. He went ahead to allege that he has other wives and concubines and he drinks alcohol with him .
