Following the tragic demise of Sultana actress Winnie Bwire, popularly known as Dida, fans and friends from all walks of life have come together to give the television star a farewell.

Citizen TV news anchor Lulu Hassan has taken to her social media official page and begged Kenyans to support the family of the late Winnie Bwire, popularly known as Dida.

Bwire came into the limelight when she acted as Dida in Citizen Television Station’s popular TV series Sultana.

Before her demise, Dida was undergoing treatment in Turkey after battling chronic breast cancer for a long time.

Lulu Hassan, who runs Jiffy Pictures with her husband Rashid Abdalla, used to be Bwire’s boss when the company made the well-known TV show Sultana.

In Lulu Hassan’s social media post, she shared a paybill number for channelling contributions, writing: “We are grateful for the time we shared with you, Dida. It takes you to make hope possible.”

The appeal by TV presenter Lulu Hassan seeks to raise funds to give Dida a decent send-off and show solidarity during this difficult time of mourning.
