Kikuyu gospel artist Shiru wa GP is a renowned Kikuyu artist who records music for Kikuyu listeners who have found encouragement from the songs. She is among Kikuyu musicians who have moved from grass to fame through hard work and determination.
During the Mashujaa Day celebration her name appeared in the Kenyans gazette being among individuals who were honoured by the president for bringing an impact in the society where she was issued a HSC “head of state commendation” title. Some hours ago she was in an interview talking about how she reacted after getting the news.
She was heading to Kirinyaga where she was invited to perform during Mashujaa Day celebration and she received a message from one of her friends. She was asked to look in the government gazette name since she was mentioned number 62. She felt very happy and packed her car first to understand what it meant.
She went ahead and called her husband while screaming out of happiness to inform him about the good news. She went ahead and called her mother and they were all very happy. She therefore thanked president William Ruto and the first lady for honouring her job of helping the society. Watch the full video below.
