Media personality Janet Kanini-Ikua passed on five years ago due to Cancer complications.
She was diagnosed with lung cancer stage four in 2015 and in February 2016, she announced she was cancer free.
Years later, she started falling sick and her health deteriorated spending most of her last year in hospital due to the disease.
Her last big interview where she said she was ready to die has surfaced online.
“Based on earthly statistics, you’re counting days until the day you die,” she told Victoria Rubadiri on NTV.
Janet asked people to spend enough time with their loved ones.
“How do you want to go out? Do you want to go out miserable, wishing or do you want to prepare yourself in such a way that even spiritually I am ready to go to heaven? God take me right now, I am coming straight to you there are people around you who deserve your appreciation who deserve love, are you spending enough time with them.”
Janet left behind her husband and two children Pedro and Jasmine.
Speaking in an interview, George said grieving is a very personal process.
“It’s like a movie you watched and now you remember every fine detail. I shared 14 years with Janet. Her absence has left a huge vacuum.”
