A fired up Raila Odinga has promised to go after rumour mongers who have been spreading false information about his health when he comes back to the country.
This was revealed by deputy president Kithure Kindiki while in a public engagement in Siaya county where he is leading a funds mobilization drive for boda boda riders.
Before he travelled to Siaya, Kindiki revealed that he had a phone call conversation with the former prime minister and informed of him of the Siaya visit.
During the phone call, Kindiki revealed that Raila distanced himself from the ill health allegations and vowed to go after fellows who are behind the spread of the propaganda.
“I spoke to him just before I came here. He welcomed us and assured me that he is okay and resting. He also said he will soon be coming home to deal with them ( the propagandists”, Kindiki told the crowd.
Informants from both within and without Raila’s quotas have been issuing contradicting information on the true position of the former Azimio leader’s visit abroad.
It is however not clear on who exactly Raila will be going after. Most of the information above his health has only been shared by those close to him.
Earlier, the ODM party secretariat had accused opposition chiefs of spreading untrue information about Raila’s health. The opposition team led by Gachagua has since distanced itself from the allegations.
