Mama Jimmy, the wife of popular former Kitale-based preacher Baba Jimmy, has shocked fans with a personal confession about her marriage.
In a recent conversation with her husband, now living in the US, she revealed that she once regretted marrying him — but not for the reason many people think.
“It’s not because he’s a Mzungu without money,” she clarified.
Her regret came during her pregnancy, when Baba Jimmy would constantly nag her about her health.
“He used to give me medicine right after I vomited,” she shared. “It made me feel worse. I was so frustrated, I told myself, ‘If I had known, I wouldn’t have married him.’”
Her honest words left many fans surprised.
Mama Jimmy admitted that at the time, she felt her husband was being insensitive. But later, she realised he was only acting out of concern.
“I thought he didn’t care. But now I see, he was just trying to help,” she said.
The couple, who met through Mama Jimmy’s brother and were friends for years before marrying, have been admired for their open and fun family life on social media.
They now live in the US with their two children and often share their day-to-day experiences with fans.
Despite the tough moments, their love has endured. In 2024, Baba Jimmy even proposed to her again — this time with a fancy ring on a boat cruise in Tennessee.
Many fans have praised Mama Jimmy for speaking her truth, with some saying regrets are a normal part of any marriage.
As their love story continues, one thing is clear: honesty, even in tough moments, has made their bond even stronger.
