Details have emerged on how Kennedy Ngeno’s fiancée has taken to social media to mourn her fiancé after he was fatally stabbed by a taxi driver during a road-rage confrontation at Nyayo Stadium, a development that has stunned many.
In emotional posts, Kennedy’s fiancée said the sudden death of her partner has left her devastated, while also reaffirming her love for him. Writing online, she said: “Already missing him. My Fiancee.
Even in death, I still Love you, RIP my love.” She described the loss as sudden and painful, adding that she had been looking forward to a shared future with him.
According to her posts, the couple’s relationship was still full of plans for what came next, but the incident abruptly cut those dreams short.
She also shared that Kennedy and his partner, Dorcas, were blessed with a young daughter. Family sources said the child will now grow up without her father, a reality that has deepened the grief surrounding the killing.
Accounts surrounding the incident indicate that Kennedy Kibet Ngeno was traveling with his family from Kericho to Nairobi when their vehicle was struck from behind by a taxi.
After the collision, witnesses and family narratives claim Kennedy and the other passengers exited the car and began arguing with the taxi owner, Emmanuel Githua, over the impact of the crash and what they said were unfair actions following the accident.
Reports say the argument quickly escalated into a tense confrontation.
During the clash, witnesses and family accounts allege that Githua broke the windscreen of Ngeno’s vehicle.
The situation, they said, continued to worsen even after the initial altercation, with Githua allegedly retrieving a sharp knife from his vehicle.
It is further reported that during the confrontation, Githua stabbed Ngeno multiple times.
Following the attack, Kennedy was rushed to hospital for treatment, but he later died while receiving medical care.
