During the first day of King Charles and Queen Camilla’s Royal Visit to Kenya, president William Ruto went all out in ensuring a cordial welcome for the Monarchs.
Part of this included hosting a banquet in honor of the King and Queen at State House, where, as reported by Citizen Digital, exquisite cuisines were served to the distinguished guests.
With most of the dishes sounding too heavy for our Kenyan tongues, the main course included a serving of Chicken Wellington which was served at the main table, while other tables savored Beef Wellington.
Chicken Wellington is a delightful dish, a cousin of the famed Beef Wellington, featuring tender chicken encased in puff pastry.
It’s a bit of a kitchen project, but the result is totally worth the effort.
