Former Churchill Show comedian Mtumishi has shared a painful story about how he supported his wife through university, only for her to leave him after her life improved.
According to Mtumishi, when they first met, his wife only had a high school certificate. He said he decided to help her build a better future by enrolling her at Kabarak University.
He paid her tuition fees and also took care of her rent while she was studying. Mtumishi explained that he was fully committed to helping her succeed in life.
After she finished school, Mtumishi said he also used his connections to help her get a job at an international organisation. He said the job paid her KSh80,000 every month, which was a big improvement from where she had started.
At that point, her career was growing well, and things seemed to be going in the right direction.
However, Mtumishi said his own life started going downhill financially. As his wife became more successful, he began to struggle with money.
He claimed that when she noticed he was broke, her attitude changed. According to him, she told him that she could not support a man and then left him.
Mtumishi further said that after leaving him, his wife went on with her life and later married another man. For him, this was a very hard moment because he felt he had given her everything, only to be abandoned when he needed support most.
The comedian said he continued facing tough times after the breakup. He struggled for a long period, trying to stay afloat and find stability again. Mtumishi said things only started changing this year when media personality Oga Obinna gave him a job at Obinna Studios.
