Wasafi CEO Diamond Platnumz on Friday joined the world in congratulating Mama Samia Suluhu Hassan after being sworn in as Tanzania’s sixth President.
Suluhu was sworn in following the untimely death of President John Joseph Pombe Magufuli who died on Wednesday.
Suluhu has served as the vice president since 2015.
Taking to his Instagram, the Jeje hitmaker wrote;

Mama Samia becomes the first female president in Tanzania and the East Africa region.
Suluhu and Magufuli were re-elected in office in October. She will serve the remainder of Magufuli’s term in office.
