Hiram Gitau, popularly known as Tash, has spoken out emotionally about the impact of online criticism and allegations directed at him following the passing of his partner, the late Betty.
In a deeply reflective statement, Tash revealed that he has often been affected by hurtful comments circulating on social media, including serious accusations that he described as painful and unfounded.
He said the nature of some claims, including allegations of misconduct, has caused him emotional distress, despite his continued commitment to the family he is raising.
“I sometimes cry when I read the hurtful things people say about me online,” he said, noting that such remarks have had a personal impact on his well-being.
Tash further defended his role in the upbringing of Betty’s children, emphasizing that his priority has been their welfare, stability, and future success.
He stated that his focus remains on ensuring the children grow in a supportive environment and achieve their life goals despite the loss of their mother.
According to him, after Betty’s passing, he engaged the children—Sky and Victor—on whether they would prefer to live with their biological father, identified as Kanyari.
He claimed that the children made the decision to remain in his care, a choice he says he has respected fully.
Tash also expressed that he believes Betty would be at peace knowing the children are safe, loved, and well taken care of under his supervision.
He insisted that public opinion does not define him, adding that his actions and daily responsibility toward the children speak for themselves.
He concluded by calling for understanding and restraint from the public, noting that online comments often overlook the emotional realities faced by families dealing with loss and public scrutiny.
