TV47 has this morning reported that tension is in some sections of Emurua Dikir even as residents continue to vote in their next Member of Parliament, who will replace the late Johana Ng’eno.
In an exclusive interview, one of the communication strategists GK Malema told TV 47 that goons are everywhere threatening the residents or for a better word, those who do not want to suppport President William Ruto’s UDA candidate.
“UDA goons are everywhere at polling stations. Chaos erupted at night, leaving several people injured. DCP’s stronghold candidate was threatened by goons shouting ‘Heshimu Rais.” – GK Malema, DCP Party Official.
But the development comes amid the backdrop of claims and concerns that, the UDA Party did not bank on the by-election as it was the case in Mbeere North byelection where the entire machinery camped there for some days. Some argue that the Head of State might have decided to wait and see.
