A young man identified as James Kinyajui has left many people emotional after he narrated his painful life story during an interview with a content creator.
James was born and raised in a family of four boys. He said life was not easy from the beginning. Their father abandoned them when they were still young and they were left under the care of their mother. They lived together in a single room that cost Ksh 500, which was still very difficult for them to afford.
Due to poverty, his elder brothers were forced to drop out of school to help their mother pay bills through hustling. James also followed the same path and he got a job in a certain homestead as a casual worker.
While working there, James fell in love with his boss’s daughter. They tried to hide their relationship for some time but they could not hide it forever. When the boss found out, he was very angry and fired James, saying he could not watch his young daughter get married to such a young man.
After losing the job, James got another one. At only 19 years old, he fell in love again. His mother warned him against getting into more responsibilities because his life was still unstable and even affording basic needs was a struggle.
Despite the warning, James continued with the relationship and soon his girlfriend got pregnant. At first, the girl went to stay with her mother. But when her mother discovered she was pregnant, she chased her away. The girl had nowhere to go and ended up at James’ house.
James says he had no option but to take her in. He worked extra hard to take care of her until she delivered. The baby was born safely, and all the little money he got from hustling went to the mother and the child. Life became very hard for him.
Things got worse when he was fired again. With no other option, he decided to look for his father so that as a family they could find a solution together. Luckily, he found him and brought him back home.
That is when everything changed completely. He discovered that the reason his father ran away from home was because he had an affair with the mother of his girlfriend. This meant that his girlfriend was actually his own sister.
On top of that, he also found out that his girlfriend had cheated on him with his own brother, and the baby he thought was his was actually his brother’s child.
James said it was very painful to discover all that at once, but at the same time it was a relief because he could not manage life with the responsibilities that were weighing him down.
