Content creator and Eric Omondi’s baby mama, Lynne Njihia has opened up about the support she received from comedian Eric Omondi after giving birth to their daughter, Kyla, recalling how he would spend nights sleeping in his car outside the hospital so he could remain close to her.
Speaking during an interview on Friday, October 30, 2026, Lynne described Eric as the person who stood by her throughout her recovery, helping her with even the most personal tasks as she adjusted to life after childbirth.
She recalled that her hospital ward did not have a couch, forcing Eric to sleep in his car before returning to check on her during the night.
“The only person who used to help me, even with showering and going to the toilet, was Eric. He was there for me throughout. He would come even in the middle of the night,” she said.
Lynne explained that Eric would return to the ward to check on her before going back to his car. In the morning, he made sure she had breakfast, helped her get to the washroom and checked on their newborn daughter.
Her account has offered a glimpse into a side of their relationship that continued to matter even after the two went their separate ways.
From dating to engagement and parenthood
Eric and Lynne’s relationship began in 2020 after they met during an audition for one of the comedian’s skits in Karen. Their relationship grew over the years, although they experienced a difficult period in 2022 when they lost a pregnancy through miscarriage.
In February 2023, Eric proposed to Lynne on Valentine’s Day, marking a new chapter in their relationship. Later that year, they welcomed their daughter, Princess Kyla Omondi.
The couple frequently shared moments of their relationship online, giving fans a glimpse into their family life. However, in April 2025, Lynne announced that she had decided to end their relationship.
In her announcement, she said the decision had not been easy but was necessary for her peace, personal growth and the future she envisioned for herself and her daughter.
Where their relationship stands now
Despite their separation, the two have maintained a co-parenting relationship and continued to speak positively about each other’s involvement in Kyla’s life.
In a June 2025 interview, Lynne said she was not in a hurry to reconcile with Eric, explaining that her focus was on raising their daughter. She also described him as a present father who remained actively involved in Kyla’s life.
In August 2026, she again publicly appreciated him for supporting her decision to be a stay-at-home mother, saying the arrangement allowed her to be present during their daughter’s early years while continuing her work as a content creator.
