Nevnina Omondi, the widow of the late teacher and blogger Albert Ojwang, is today indeed among the happiest women in the world.
This is because she is now officially recognised as his wife by his family, after they finally paid for her dowry to her family.
This big news was actually disclosed by Nevnina Omondi, and this was via a post that she made on her Facebook account on Saturday afternoon.
The mother of one shared some photos that captured how the ‘nyombo’ (the dowry payment ceremony) went down.
What was clear about the photos is that the important ceremony was attended by several people, who included her family members as well as the family of the late Albert Ojwang.
The photos also showed some cows that had been brought to Nevnina Omondi’s home, which were presumably part of her dowry.
During the event, the mother of one also looked stunning in an Ankara dress that had blue and black colours.
Nevnina Omondi further accompanied the photos with a caption that showed just how proud she was, after the family of the late Albert Ojwang decided to fulfill his promise of paying dowry for her someday.
“A promise fulfilled even in absence. I’m deeply humbled and grateful to his family and friends for honouring our union! Love truly does not end, even in death! My heart is full of gratitude! I’ll always love you baba G ❤️” she said.
