Gospel singer Guardian Angel has wowed fans after showcasing his latest project to minister the gospel. Guardian Angel showed the progress of the church he’s building.Guardian has built a reputation as one of the country’s top ministers, with an impressive catalogue of songs like Nimependa, Moyo Wangu, and Yesu Sio Mwizi.
His life story is the typical grass-to-grace narrative, and he overcame immeasurable odds to become successful. Real name Peter Omwaka, he left his rural home for Nairobi, where he ended up living on the streets as a young boy.
Is Guardian Angel building a church? During a government crackdown to clear street children from the city, Guardian was arrested and taken to the Central Police Station. The cells were overcrowded, forcing authorities to transfer him to an approved school. Despite the hardships, this marked a turning point in his life.
While at the institution, he eventually reunited with his mother, who was living in Kibera. Guardian recalled that even after finding her, life remained tough as they struggled to make ends meet.
As they say, the rest is history. In a bid to further spread the gospel, the artist has shared a video of the church he is currently building. The Friday, October 10, footage showed Guardian at the construction site, with numerous workers busy at their jobs.
Casually dressed in a vest, Guardian walked around the site overseeing the project. In one part, the workers were seen nailing the wood to be used on the roofing. The walls were completed up to the roofing section, awaiting the next step. The workers started erecting the wood to support the roof.
The video then cuts to show the roofing skeleton in place. The only remaining parts were placing the roof, completing the floor, and adding other interior and exterior touches. What did Guardian Angel’s fan say? Guardian did not take credit for the building and instead wrote: “To God be the glory.”
