Popular Nairobi playwright Zippy Okoth has shared a heartwarming tale that has restored her faith in guardian angels—this time, in human form. The acclaimed theatre personality found herself in a distressing situation over the weekend after getting stuck in a maze of blocked roads, treacherous terrain, and slippery detours in the Kibiko area, located on the outskirts of Nairobi.
What was supposed to be a routine journey quickly turned into a nerve-wracking experience as the roads became near-impassable due to recent rains and construction-related diversions. Stranded and unsure of how to proceed, Zippy’s situation seemed dire—until a stranger appeared out of nowhere.
According to the report on tuko.co.ke Facebook,A towering man driving a Toyota Prado offered assistance, promising to guide her through the confusing maze. With a calm demeanor and confidence in navigating the difficult paths, he reassured her, saying he would pull her vehicle out if she got stuck.
Thanks to the stranger’s intervention, Zippy was able to make it out of the rough terrain safely. Deeply moved by the experience, she later took to social media to share her gratitude and awe, calling the Good Samaritan her “guardian angel in a Prado.”
“Not all heroes wear capes,” she wrote. “Some drive big cars and show up just when you need them.”
The story has since captured the attention of her fans, with many praising the kindness of strangers and the reminder that compassion and humanity still thrive even in the most unlikely moments.
