Sheila Achieng has been confined to a medical facility, which has served as her new home for some time.
The young girl was involved in a horrific accident that cost the life of a loved one, but she recovered with major injuries and body damage.
Following the accident, Achieng’ has remained in the hospital while she recovers during the exam period.
“On Thursday, October 2, Achieng’s father, Onyango, was driving her to school in the morning. They live in Njoro, and Achieng attends Mama Ngina Primary School.
Since he was a boda boda operator, he regularly took her to school in the morning before starting his business.
On their way, they were hit by a Lexus. Unfortunately, Achieng’s father died immediately as a result of the accident.
He had been struck by a metal umbrella stick, which penetrated his neck. “His leg was also broken,” she explained.
They were rushed to the hospital, while her father’s body was sent to the morgue and the family was notified. “I went to the morgue to authenticate the body and identification of my in-law.
Then I went to check on Achieng’, whom the medics were attempting to revive. Following the impact, she had three serious wounds.
She had also lost a lot of blood, but the hospital was able to stabilise her following a transfusion. The next day, she was transported to another hospital, and we were assigned a new doctor.
