Media Personality Grace Msalame has bravely opened up about a painful chapter of her life – a toxic relationship that led to her pregnancy at a time when she was emotionally vulnerable and grieving a profound loss.
The TV star, who shares twin daughters with her former partner Paul Ndichu, revealed that the relationship unfolded during one of the darkest periods of her life – shortly after losing her father, Tony Msalame, in 2010.
Though her family strongly opposed the union, Grace admits she pressed on, unaware of how deeply grief had clouded her judgment.
Speaking during an interview with Reverend Kathy Kiuna on Woman Without Limits, Grace reflected on how heartbreak and unresolved pain made her susceptible to decisions she would later question.
A simple message of condolence from her ex, sent at a time when she was drowning in sorrow, became a turning point that would ultimately make her a mother.
She recalled initially mistaking coincidence for divine confirmation, believing she had found an answer to her prayers. But the illusion quickly faded.
The relationship, she says, was riddled with red flags- ones clearly visible to everyone around her, except herself.
“My mum saw them. My dad never supported it. I changed completely. I became someone else — and that’s when you know something is wrong,” Grace shared.
