Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s office and the ministry of sports is working to increase the employability of the Kenyan youth. Gachagua and Namwamba have entered into a deal with Trace East Africa to make sure that youth get jobs.

In a statement released on 16th December, Gachagua and Namwamba have assured Kenyans that the partnership will help them get jobs. The deal will see Kenyans enrol for short certificate courses that require short time to complete. Training will be on the jobs that are highly marketable in Kenya at the moment.

Trace has told the government that it is ready to help the youth in achieving their dreams while earning money. Trace will also link the Kenyan youth with European market to ensure that creative individuals are also rewarded for their creativity.

Method of learning that will be used to make the process access will be interactive and will only require mobile phones. Kenyans will join other millions of Africans who are also going through similar trainings to enhance their creativity and chances of getting employed.

“The Kenya youth will be lucky to join our training programme to make themselves more marketable. Learning will be simple and learners will be allowed to learn at their own paces. After the training they will meet the current market demands and many will be absorbed,” Trace has said in a statement.
