According to her, the decision had nothing to do with dislike, music style, or personal issues.
Speaking during a radio interview on Thursday, January 15, Rose said her choice was guided by God, not by herself.
The presenter asked Rose about rumors claiming she refused to work with Rayvanny, leading to another artist, Mwamposa, taking her place on the album The Big One.
Rose quickly cleared the air. She said she has never rejected Rayvanny or any other artist. She explained that her music life follows spiritual guidance, and every decision she makes must align with God’s instructions.
“I work under God’s kingdom,” she said. “Even collaborations must follow His timing.”
Rose explained that God showed her that the right time to work with Rayvanny had not yet arrived. She said it was not a permanent “no,” but simply a matter of waiting.
“When God says wait, you wait. That does not mean rejection. It only means the time is not right yet,” she said.
The gospel singer also addressed claims that she avoided Rayvanny because he sings secular music. She strongly denied this.
She said all musicians, whether gospel or secular, are God’s children.
“God created everyone. You cannot judge someone just because of the type of music they sing,” she explained.
To support her point, Rose shared a story from the Bible. She spoke about Prophet Hosea, whom God instructed to marry a prostitute to send a message to Israel.
She said this shows that God does not abandon people because of their lifestyle.
“God was showing that even those people belong to Him,” she said.
Rose added that if God ever tells her to work with Rayvanny in the future, she will do so without hesitation.
“I will sing with him in obedience, humility, and respect for God,” she said.
She also explained how believers know when God is speaking. According to her, God communicates through dreams, the Bible, and a quiet voice in the heart that brings peace and clarity.
For now, Rose says she is simply waiting for the right time, God’s time.
