KANU Chairman Gideon Moi on Saturday, September 13, visited the home of National Assembly Majority Leader and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah in Kikuyu, Kiambu County, to condole with the family following the death of their patriarch, Mzee Isaac Ichung’wah.Moi expressed deep sympathy to the family, describing the late Mzee Ngugi as a visionary leader and astute businessman who left an indelible mark in his community.

He emphasized that Mzee Ngugi’s life was not only a blessing to his family but also an inspiration to many who valued his wisdom and commitment to development.

In his condolence message, Moi also recalled the close ties Mzee Ngugi shared with the late retired President Daniel arap Moi, noting that their friendship reflected shared values of service, integrity, and unity.

He added that such memories would continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Mzee Ngugi, who passed away peacefully at the age of 105, was reported to have died in his sleep shortly after being discharged from hospital.The family has indicated that details of the requiem mass and burial arrangements will be communicated in due course.
