The Njuri Ncheke Supreme Council Elders gathered at the Gitoro Shrines located in Meru County to celebrate a thanksgiving event for Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.
According to reports, the council members revealed that Kindiki was affirmed as the representative of their community back in 2015.
While present at the Shrines, the Njuri Ncheke offered blessings to DP Kindiki Kithure, asserting that the Ameru community supports him in voicing their perspectives on political, economic, and social issues.
“You have the backing of the Ameru, spanning from Thuci to Ntonyiri. You will represent the community on political, economic, and social issues,” remarked the Secretary General of the council at that time.
Moreover, the council shared that Kindiki was honored with ceremonial attire and presented with a staff, a fly-whisk, and other emblems of authority by the Elders.
During the assembly, the council revealed that they recognized their position as elders in choosing Kindiki to be the spokesperson for the Meru community, having identified his leadership qualities early on.
However, they expressed confidence that both Ruto and Kindiki would prioritize service delivery over other concerns.
In related news, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua also utilized his social media account to express gratitude to God for the progress he has made with his family, significantly updating his biography from Deputy President to father and husband.
