DCP Boss Rigathi Gachagua has come out and disclosed his backup plan if he will be barred from vying for the Presidency. Speaking during an evening Interview on Wednesday, Rigathi Gachagua revealed that he has a plan B, that will be executed in the event he is be barred from vying for Presidency in next year’s general elections.
According to Gachagua, he has gotten information that some MPs allied to Ruto such as Kimani Ichung’wah and Faith Gitau have advised the President to ensure he (Gachagua) is not allowed to run for Presidency in next year’s general elections.
“They have gone to Ruto saying ‘please interfere with the Courts and make sure Rigathi Gachagua is barred from ever running because if he runs, he will finish us” Gachagua said
However, Gachagua delivered bad news to such leaders by revealing his plan B incase the plan to block him from vying succeeds. The DCP boss who has proven to be a force to be reckoned with in Mt Kenya Region, revealed that he has already identified some young leaders from the region and that he will rally the vote-rich Mt Kenya region to back one of the young leaders fully for the top seat.
“I have very bad news from you, I have young men and women who have come of age. In the unfortunate event that William Ruto interferes with the Court process and am barred from ever running I have men and women ready to run and me and the community will agree and pick one” Rigathi Gachagua said.
Gachagua was speaking during an interview at KTN News. He also disclosed that if anything happens to him today, he has established a clear leadership structure that the Mt Kenya region will follow.
