Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, together with People’s Liberation Party leader Martha Karua, took part in a vibrant roundtable discussion with Kenyan professionals based in Seattle, Washington. The meeting, held in an intimate setting, focused on the pressing social, political, and economic issues currently shaping Kenya’s landscape.

Gachagua described the discussions as eye-opening, underscoring the depth of concern among Kenyans in the diaspora about the direction their homeland is taking.

Despite widespread frustrations, he expressed optimism, noting that the shared longing for a better and more inclusive Kenya remains strong.

The event also saw the presence of celebrated Mugithi artist Samidoh, who is currently on an extended music tour across the U.S.

His attendance added a cultural flavor to the otherwise policy-heavy gathering, attracting interest from fans and diaspora youth.

Radio presenter Muthoni Wa Kirumba also graced the occasion, turning heads in an elegant black gown.In a cheerful social media post, she thanked Seattle’s Federal Way residents and announced an after-party at Lims Lounge Restaurant.

Muthoni, known for her energetic “Changamuka Show” on Kameme FM alongside Muthee Kihenjo, is a household name among Kikuyu radio audiences.

Away from the event, Muthoni recently found herself at the center of controversy after throwing shade at Woman Rep Betty Maina, a known critic of Gachagua.
