Gachagua Finally Speaks on His 7 Day Disappearance, Reveals Who Interrupted Him in Mt Kenya Forest

Days after he went mute and disappeared from the public for seven days, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has broken his silence.

Speaking during a burial service in Gichugu, Kirinyaga County, the DP revealed his whereabouts when he disappeared and left Kenyans guessing.

According to the DP, he had taken a break from politics and went deep into Mt Kenya forest to mediate, fast and pray for the nation and the people of Mt Kenya region.

From lone ranger to regional leader with loyalists, the evolution …

He revealed that he had given out instructions that he should not be disturbed for the seven days inside the forest and that he had even switched off his phones.

“When Ndumbi Mwalimu passed on is when I had taken seven days away for prayers and fasting meditation in the heart of Mt Kenya forest, no phone, nothing and nobody could disturb me because I had given clear instructions. This is because I wanted to reflect and meditate about the state of our nation and the welfare of the people of this region.

The DP went on to reveal that he was however, interrupted from his prayers after a word reached him that his friend the late Mwalimu Julius Kano Ndumbi, the former Principal Kianyaga High School had died.

He revealed that it was his wife Pastor Dorcas Rigathi who sent some people to inform him, hence interrupting his prayers in the forest

“When he passed on, Jomo the contractor looked for my wife Pastor Dorcas and her knowing my relationship with Mwalimu, sent a word out that I be interrupted from my prayers and be informed of his death,” added Gachagua.
