NAIROBI — Political strategist and digital communications expert Pauline Njoroge has launched a scathing attack on President William Ruto’s administration, accusing it of deliberately lowering education standards to produce what she termed “a generation of average minds.”

In a social media post that has sparked widespread debate online, Njoroge highlighted what she described as a dramatic shift in the government’s attitude toward Kenyan citizens over the past three years.

“From being called ‘My Fellow Kenyans’ to ‘Average Minds’ in a record 3 years! Wueh!” Njoroge wrote, using the popular Kenyan exclamation to express shock at the alleged transformation.

The prominent opposition-affiliated blogger went further, linking her criticism to specific concerns about education policy. “And if you look at how this administration is handling the education sector, you can see the deliberate effort to raise a generation of average minds,” she stated.

Njoroge’s comments come amid ongoing national conversations about education reforms and the quality of Kenya’s school system. Her critique suggests that current policies represent a departure from excellence-focused approaches, though she did not specify particular programs or initiatives in her post.

The political strategist, known for her critical commentary on the Ruto government, has built a significant following through her analysis of government policies and political developments. Her latest remarks tap into broader concerns among some Kenyans about the direction of educational reforms and government priorities.

The debate highlights the continuing tension between the administration and opposition voices, particularly regarding policy decisions affecting Kenya’s youth and future workforce development.
