If you frequently visit social media pages you must have come across David mwangi allied Kamoko at some point. He is a social media influencer and a Kikuyu Benga musician who is becoming more popular each and every day.
Some hours ago he was in a live interview where he talked about his life struggles before he become the star he is today. According to him, he was born in a struggling family which made him go through tougt times during his childhood and eary education.
After joining secondary school one of their extended family members started inciting the school principal who would send them home for school fees every now and then which made him drop out at form three. After dropping out he decided to move to Nairobi where his father was working since he believed it was easy to succeed in Nairobi.
On reaching Nairobi his elder brother connected him to Muigai Wa Njoroge, Loise Kim and other Kikuyu musicians and he started hawking their compact discs across the country which made his life more hard but he never gave up. He later won in UNICEF and government auditions and he was taken to Karen to an academy where he learnt his music especially playing the guitar.
He stared singing other musicians songs until he realized that he could also sing since he had a talent. From there he joined the music industry with a very unique music instrument where he released his first song and it become a hit making him very popular. Watch the full video below.
