Popular digital creator and YouTuber Raych Gitau has landed a new job on TV and boy she cannot keep calm about!
The sassy queen, who is also the wife of renowned gospel singer Kaymo Thitima, has actually joined the national broadcaster KBC, where she will be hosting a show dubbed Heart & Soul, that focuses on all matters relating to marriages.
Raych Gitau actually announced this big news in a post that she made on her Instagram account on Friday, the 5th of September, where she termed this opportunity as a dream come true for her.
“One day, I was just minding my own business when I got a call from KBC. Dreams are really valid – OFFICE DAY TODAY!
As a young girl, I would read the newspaper out loud in front of the mirror, pretending I was on TV. In high school, my English teacher, Mr. Kieti, always told me he saw a “TV girl” in me because I was so good in English. I loved debates and writing compositions so good that sometimes he wondered.
After high school, I knew I wanted to study Mass Communication, but my parents couldn’t afford it. I ended up doing a course I didn’t want, though deep inside I still dreamt of being on TV. I worked on offices but my heart wasn’t there. My husband @kaymothitima and friends @kabiwajesus @millywajesus kept pushing me to quit my 8-5 job because they believed I had a brighter future in the media and social space…” she said in part.
Raych Gitau added:
“And just like I dreamed as a little girl, God made a way. He used every step to lead me to the moment I finally became the TV girl I always wanted to be. Listen, God makes ways for you. Wearing the KBC Staff badge is the beginning of my dream to be on TV”.
The disclosure by Raych Gitau elicited massive congratulatory messages from netizens, who were indeed happy for her after she landed the job at KBC
Among those who reacted was her sister Fridah Mwaka, and she could not keep calm because they now get to work on TV together.
“Sisters in media 🔥 hujaambia watu simu 100 ulinipigia 😂😂” she said.
