Celebrated NTV Swahili news anchor Fridah Mwaka has today opened up about her life, and debunked how people have always assumed that she has sired kids of her own.
Many netizens actually came to this conclusion in 2024, when the sassy journalist started to post several photos of herself posing with some two beautiful girls.
In the photos, Fridah Mwaka and the girls flaunted their enviable mother-daughter goals because they donned matching attires, that made them look so beautiful as shown in the screenshots below.
The truth is revealed
After months and months of speculations, Fridah Mwaka has today finally decided to reveal the facts.
The two girls are actually not her biological daughters, but adopted ones. This is because they unfortunately lost their mother at a young age.
Unbeknownst to many, Fridah Mwaka has therefore been raising the two girls as her own and they have even been referring to her as their mom since they were young.
This is something that indeed wows the NTV news anchor, because she has for the longest time been unable to sire her own kids.
Fridah Mwaka dropped this bombshell as she was celebrating the 10th birthday of one of the girls, who is called Peshy.
Taking to her Facebook account, the sassy journalist even took netizens down the memory lane to when the baby girl started to call her as her own mom, and how she felt about it.
Like any other loving mother out there, the sassy NTV Swahili news anchor also pampered the young one with love and praises.
“Dear Princess the girl who crowned 👑 me “Mother”.
Even though I didn’t birth you, you birthed something new in me ❣️Motherhood. You looked at me with those searching eyes and whispered “Mum”…I was confused at first, unsure at first if it was me you were calling. But you whispered it again “Mum”…and something inside me shifted. I felt love 💝 but I also saw the void. The emptiness. The ache of having lost your own mother far too soon 😭😭.
You didn’t just give me a title; You gave me Purpose. You made me a Nurturer, a Protector, a Guide. And now here we are 10 beautiful years of you 🥳”…Fridah Mwaka said in part.
The NTV news anchor also promised to one day reveal the main reason why she has not been able to sire any kids of her own.
“One day I’ll tell the full story to those who keep asking “Utazaa wako lini” But for now just know that being called “Mum” by you will forever be one of the greatest honours of my life…”
