ex spy

A dramatic scene unfolded at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Sunday evening when a man believed to be a French spy was arrested while attempting to board a flight with a shocking cargo. Authorities say the suspect, who had been under surveillance for weeks, was found carrying human body parts wrapped in sealed bags inside his luggage.

According to airport security officials, the arrest followed a tip-off from international intelligence agencies, which had raised concerns about possible human trafficking operations involving foreign nationals in Kenya. The suspect’s strange movements and irregular travel patterns triggered a thorough search, leading to the discovery.

Eyewitnesses described panic and confusion at the busy terminal as security officers pounced on the man near the international departures lounge. “They surrounded him quickly, and within seconds, they were checking his bags. People started screaming when they saw what was inside,” said a witness who was waiting for a flight.

Police sources confirmed that forensic experts were immediately called to the scene to verify the origin of the recovered body parts. Early reports indicate the remains are believed to belong to more than one individual, raising suspicions of a larger trafficking network.

Kenya’s Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has launched a joint probe with Interpol to uncover how the suspect managed to acquire the remains and what his intended destination was. Security has since been tightened at JKIA, with more checks introduced for outbound travelers.

The French Embassy in Nairobi has been notified of the arrest, but diplomats have yet to issue a formal statement. Meanwhile, the suspect is being held at an undisclosed location in Nairobi as investigations continue.

This incident comes at a time when Kenya has stepped up efforts to combat human trafficking and cross-border crimes, following a series of arrests involving foreign syndicates in recent months. Authorities have warned that anyone found aiding such criminal activities will face the full force of the law.

Police have urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to help dismantle trafficking networks operating within the country.
