Former Nyandarua Woman Representative and current Kipipiri Member of Parliament, Wanjiku Muhia, is mourning the death of her father, Mr. John Muhia Njoroge, who passed away after a long illness.

In a message shared on her official Facebook page on Tuesday morning, the legislator announced that her father died on Monday night, December 29, at around 8:00 p.m.

According to the statement, Mr. Muhia had been battling kidney failure for the past twelve years, a journey the family described as long and difficult.

The news of his death has been met with sadness and messages of condolence from leaders, friends, supporters, and members of the public across the country.

“Dad went to be with the Lord last night at 8:00 PM after a courageous twelve-year battle with kidney failure.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that he fought a good fight and has finished his race well.”

The MP also asked Kenyans to keep her family in their prayers as they come to terms with the loss.

She noted that details regarding funeral arrangements and memorial services will be shared later once the family finalizes plans.
