The former MP has already returned with a bang as she rebrands herself as the perfect choice for the populous constituency.
Gakuya decamped from former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party and found a new home in the Democracy for Citizens Party outfit which is led by ex-Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
The former MP has already hit the road running trying to popularize her bid for the seat.
She has been part of Gachagua’s nationwide tours to sell the DCP outfit.
With Karauri declaring her bid for Nairobi City County Governor seat, it is most likely that Gakuya can easily clinch the seat come 2027.
