A former Catholic nun from Nigeria, Kinse Shako Annastasia, has shared a deeply personal account of the hardships she has endured since leaving the convent. Dismissed only a few months ago, she has had to quickly adapt to a completely different lifestyle, one marked by financial instability and emotional challenges. Her story has captured widespread attention online, where many people have expressed sympathy and support for her situation.

After leaving religious life, Annastasia ventured into small-scale business in an effort to sustain herself. However, her first attempt did not go as planned. She revealed that she lost approximately KSh 6,700 after being deceived in a charcoal business deal. This setback forced her to reconsider her approach and begin again with very limited resources.

Determined to survive, she explored other income-generating activities, including selling bread. Unfortunately, the returns were not enough to cover her daily needs. As conditions became more difficult, she made a significant shift and began collecting and selling used plastic bottles, a move she described as both humbling and eye-opening, especially considering her former role as a teacher.

Annastasia continues to rebuild her life step by step and remains hopeful about the future. She has also called on well-wishers to support and encourage her as she works toward achieving stability once again.
