Celebrated Kenyan video producer Ken Heman has recently become a topic of discussion on social media, after his wife Nyambura Mburu exposed how he has been abusive towards her.
Unbeknownst to many of his fans, the award-winning video producer has been beating his long-term wife black and blue while at home, instead of treating her well like the way a loving husband should do.
Nyambura Mburu actually opened up about this in a lengthy post that she made on her Instagram stories, where she revealed that their 13-year-marriage has been challenging and this is because Ken Heman has been endlessly abusive towards her.
According to the beauty queen, these unfortunate acts began from way back when she was pregnant with their twins, and she beat her so much that she almost lost the babies.
“I was 19 when you met me, you were 9 years older than me, I would have been anything you needed me to be, a ronin operator, camera girl, assistant this and that, but instead you made me an abuse survivor. You destroyed me…I didn’t deserve any of it. For 13 years I kept the smile, while dying behind closed doors…until one day you kicked my babies out of my womb and they ended in NICU…they survived you too” she said.
Nyambura Mburu further revealed that she kept silent when these incidences of domestic violence were happening because she believed that Ken Heman was going to change.
To her surprise, things got worse to the extent that he was also cheating on her.
“Beating me up with electric cables, belts, hangers, I walked down the Isle on my wedding day with masked bruises. I lied for years because you made me believe you will change…but that wasn’t enough…the countless affairs…cheating and dishonoring this marriage…I did not deserve that…but even then I survived…only God knows how”.
