Farouk

Farouk Kibet has spoken out strongly against violent protests and called on demonstrators to maintain peace.

He emphasized that demonstrations should not involve the destruction of people’s property under any circumstances.

Speaking to a group of community leaders and journalists, Farouk said that protests must reflect maturity and respect for the law.

He noted that while every citizen has the right to demonstrate, this right must be exercised with responsibility and discipline.

According to him, violence during protests only worsens the situation and creates unnecessary tension in society.

He stressed that property owners suffer huge losses during violent protests, which can destroy livelihoods and deepen economic hardship.

Farouk reminded protest organizers to guide their supporters and encourage peaceful actions during public gatherings.

He added that no cause, however important, justifies the destruction of shops, cars, homes, or any private property.

He also warned that law enforcement would have no choice but to take action if protests turn violent.

Farouk urged young people especially to avoid being misled into acts of violence and to seek peaceful ways of expressing their concerns.

He said that peaceful demonstrations carry more weight and attract sympathy and support both locally and internationally.

According to him, violent acts usually lead to public anger, rejection of the message, and loss of moral ground.

Farouk also urged politicians to avoid using protests as tools for inciting chaos and dividing communities.

He pointed out that true leadership is shown when one promotes peace, dialogue, and unity among the people.

He called on religious leaders, elders, and civil society to preach peace and advise the youth against engaging in criminal acts.

Farouk stressed the need for open communication between the government and the public to solve disagreements before they grow into protests.

He praised security officers who act professionally and with restraint during demonstrations.

He called for more training and support for officers to help them manage protests without using excessive force.

Farouk concluded by saying Kenya needs peace and stability to grow economically and provide jobs for the youth.

He said it is the duty of every Kenyan to protect the nation from violence, hate, and destruction.

His message was welcomed by many who believe that peaceful protests are more effective in bringing change.

Observers noted that his remarks come at a time of increased tension and frequent demonstrations in several parts of the country.

The call for peaceful protests is likely to shape public opinion and guide future actions by both citizens and leaders.

Farouk’s firm but calm message has added an important voice to the national conversation on protests and civic responsibility.
