Popular Kikuyu gospel musician Ngaruiya Junior has lodged a formal complaint with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), seeking urgent investigations into alleged threats to his life following public claims made by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

According to reports, the complaint was filed at the DCI offices along Kiambu Road, where the artist is said to have requested authorities to establish whether there is any credible threat against him.

He is also pushing for action based on the outcome of the investigations.

In his submission to the investigative agency, Ngaruiya Junior reportedly asked the DCI to verify statements attributed to Gachagua suggesting the existence of a plot targeting his life.

He further urged that the former Deputy President be formally invited to record a statement and provide any evidence or information that could assist in the probe.

The matter has drawn attention due to the seriousness of the allegations, which involve claims of possible threats linked to political commentary.

As of now, no official findings have been released, and the DCI has not issued a public statement on the status of the investigation.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations is expected to review the complaint and determine whether there is sufficient basis to open a formal inquiry or take additional action.

Further developments are anticipated as investigators assess the claims and gather statements from the relevant parties.
