In Sunton, Kasarani, a family is very worried because their 11-year-old son went missing. He was on his way back to school to get a book he left behind.Boniface Muasa hasn’t seen his son, Prince Kimani Muasa, for over a week.
Prince, who is in Grade 6 at Linet Academy, left home on Monday evening, February 9, and hasn’t been back since. His parents are scared and really hope he comes home.Boniface said that day started like normal.
Prince went to school and came home. Around 6 p.m., he told his parents he needed to go back to school to get a textbook for homework.
The school is close to their house, only about a four-minute walk, and it stays open in the evenings because some students live there. When Prince didn’t come back, his family got worried and started looking for him. They rushed to the school, but the security guard said he didn’t see Prince that evening.
That’s when they started to panic. They reported it to the police station in Sunton, and the police gave them a case number.
Boniface said they also told other police stations nearby, like Clay City, Mwiki, Kasarani, Githurai, and Kimbo, hoping someone had seen him.
Friends told the family that they saw Prince playing with other kids earlier, but no one knows what happened after that.
Since then, family members and neighbors have been searching the area every day, from morning until late at night, but they haven’t found him.
The family has been getting upsetting messages from unknown people who say they have Prince and want money.
Boniface thinks these are just scammers trying to take advantage of their situation. He also said that the rumors online about Prince being found are not true.
Prince was last seen in a blue jersey T-shirt, black jeans, and black Crocs. His parents are asking anyone with information to please come forward as they keep searching.
