Ramogi TV presenter Glyn Ramogi Nyar Nyakach has sparked an online discussion after photos showing her outfit during a recent television appearance attracted comments from Kenyans.
Glyn hosts Thum Dag Mor, an entertainment programme aired on the Luo-language station. In the photos, she wore a bright green top with short sleeves and a red skort featuring gold buttons at the front.
The presenter accessorised with red earrings, a necklace and a bracelet. She also wore her braids in a high updo and held a tablet while appearing on camera.
Her look drew different reactions, with some social media users questioning whether the outfit met their expectations of television presenters.
Jakanyala Wilson Okombo criticised the outfit, describing it as “a handkerchief in the name of a skirt.” Another commenter, Joseph Omburo, said he switched off his television when he saw presenters dressed that way.
However, other users challenged the criticism. Nyar Ji suggested that some people who condemned Glyn publicly might still be examining her photo closely.
NyarKoyugi Nyakwar Mbori acknowledged that people had the right to choose what they wore but argued that clothing could influence how others viewed them.
Philip Etale, meanwhile, emphasised the importance of professional dressing in journalism, comparing it with expectations in teaching and the legal profession.
The reactions reflected differing opinions about personal style and workplace standards in the media industry. While some viewers favoured more conservative outfits on television, others questioned the level of attention directed at Glyn’s appearance.
The discussion has placed the presenter’s fashion choice at the centre of a wider conversation about how media personalities dress while on air.
