Kenyan rapper Stevo Simple Boy has continued to embrace fatherhood with his partner Brenda despite past controversy surrounding the paternity of their son, Dragon Junior.
Stevo’s former manager, Geoffrey Machabe, previously questioned whether the musician was the biological father of Brenda’s child. Machabe made the claims during a radio interview in 2025, suggesting that Stevo was “being taken for a ride” and drawing comparisons with issues surrounding one of his previous relationships.
However, Machabe did not provide evidence to support the allegation, instead maintaining that the truth would become known after the child was born.
Brenda and Stevo welcomed Dragon Junior, also known as Malike or Brandon Adera, on November 1, 2025. The couple kept their son largely away from the public eye before eventually introducing him to fans during a ticketed event in Nairobi on September 5, 2026.
The highly anticipated reveal came amid previous online criticism directed at the child’s appearance. Stevo and Brenda presented the occasion as a celebration of self-acceptance, while Dragon Junior also attracted attention through a brand ambassadorship around the same period.
The couple have experienced challenges in their relationship. Earlier in 2026, Stevo confirmed that they had separated for approximately four months, acknowledging some of his own shortcomings. By August, however, the two had reconciled and resumed focusing on their family and co-parenting.
In mid-September, Stevo was spotted travelling to Mombasa with Brenda and Dragon Junior for a sponsored coastal getaway.
Despite the controversies and public scrutiny, Stevo has continued to publicly identify himself as Dragon Junior’s father and has defended his son against online criticism.
Machabe’s earlier paternity allegation remains unsubstantiated, while the rapper continues to balance his family life, career and the challenges of raising a child in the public eye.
