Celebrated Kenyan journalist Sharon Barang’a is currently among the happiest people in the world.
This is because she has recently landed a huge opportunity as one of the journalists who will be enrolled at the CNN Academy for further training.
Sharon Barang’a disclosed this big news in a post that she made on her Facebook account on Saturday, the 5th of July, where she further looked forward to sharpening her skills more at the institution.

The disclosure by Sharon Barang’a also elicited some reactions from netizens, who congratulated her for getting the prestigious opportunity as shown in the link below.
Sharon Barang’a has actually landed the opportunity to be at CNN Academy at a time when she is a journalist at the China state broadcaster, CGTN.
The talented journalist joined CGTN in July 2023, and this was after she had called it quits with TV47, where she had worked as an education journalist since 2020.
Before joining TV47 however, Sharon Barang’a had worked at NTV for awhile before she was laid off during the time that the Covid-19 pandemic had affected various businesses.
The award-winning journalist was among those who were fired in July 2020, as a reorganisation exercise to keep NTV afloat during that difficult period.
