Former Bomet Governor and Judicial Service Commission Vice Chair Isaac Rutto has lauded award-winning artist Vicky Brilliance for using her music to foster unity and pride within the Kalenjin community.
Speaking during her five-year music anniversary celebration at Bomet Green Stadium on Sunday, August 25, Rutto praised her resilience, talent, and commitment to uplifting society through art.
“For five years now, Vicky Brilliance has not just been a name but a voice whose lyrics have united our community,” he said. Rutto described her career as a testament to hard work, dedication, and passion for both music and people.
He noted that her songs go beyond entertainment, addressing themes that inspire and strengthen community bonds — particularly among young Kalenjin artists. The event drew fans, fellow musicians, and leaders who joined in performances, dancing, and tributes.
Rutto urged Vicky to “keep it high” and remain rooted in the community that nurtured her, expressing confidence that her influence will grow across Kenya. Vicky Brilliance’s journey, he said, is proof that talent paired with dedication can inspire change and cultural pride.
