Kenya’s Head of State His Excellency Dr William Samoei Ruto left the African Securities Exchange Association Annual Conference early due to the tight schedule of his diary.
Addressing the conference showcased at the heart of the expansive county of Nairobi today the 23rd day of November 2023, the Head of State His Excellency Dr William Samoei Ruto extended a message of apology to the congregation due to his tight schedule that forced him to leave the strategic event ahead of time.
President Ruto who didn’t disclose the next event he was stipulated to attend notified the congregation that it was solemnly unfortunate that he wouldn’t be able to engage in roundtable deliberative conversations with them but exuded hope that he would get an opportunity to engage with them in the near future.
President Ruto designated Treasury Cabinet Secretary Njuguna Ndung’u the mandate of seating at the conference on his behalf and requested him to share notes of the agreements made during the meeting with him once the events concludes.
“Everybody seems to be blaming me for time, but it’s very unfortunate that I won’t be able to seat here. I would have really wanted to seat here and listen to you on this very important subject but minister and PS will seat in for me, and the good man Jeff I’m sure will give me some notes on what you guys will have agreed on. As you are all aware I’m very passionate about the one big thing that is going to unlock the huge potential that exists in this continent and that is integration, how we can work together. Unfortunately I won’t be here to take part in the roundtables and the other exchanges but I look forward to another opportunity to engage with you. My very best wishes. Welcome to Kenya” President Ruto stated.
