Despite the mistakes she made, socialite Faith Makau, aka Amber Ray, has stated that she is not embarrassed about her past. The influencer admitted in a statement on Instagram that there were some circumstances she could have handled better, but they had an overall positive impact on how she thought and perceived life.

“My past is something I will never feel ashamed of… “I agree that I have made so many terrible mistakes, violated so many laws, offended God in so many instances, and sought forgiveness,” she said. “I don’t know what the future holds in store for me, but I know the grass is greener on the other side.”

Amber stated that she loves her current stage and anticipates more progress in the years ahead. She disclosed in April this year that she formerly worked as a waiter, earning her first wage of Sh13,000.

Amber revealed during a conversation with content creator Obinna that she came from a disadvantaged household and was eager to treat herself to chips and chicken because they were the things she craved at the time.

She added that having come from a low-income family, she knows what it feels like to miss necessities, and now she values her stage in life, a significant improvement from when she lived in a one-room house.

Amber also stated that having money is crucial because it allows you to have options even when you are heartbroken.

“When you have money, you don’t suffer the way you do when you don’t have money. Let us say that even though it is heartbreaking, if you have the money, you can travel. What would you do when you don’t have any money, imagine suffering and still being in pain?” she stated.
