Sombre mood engulfed Kariara Ward in Gatanga Constituency, Murang’a county as six family members were being laid to rest in an emotional send off.
According to the source, the six family members perished in a fatal road accident after their vehicle plunged into River Kiama. Hundreds of mourners gathered at their home to bid farewell to the departed souls. Former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and his wife Dorcas Gachagua were among the dignitaries who attended the funeral.
Kariara Ward MCA also send his condolences to the bereaved family. He also urged the government to support the affected family. During his speech, the politician also advised road users to be vigilant and strictly adhere to the road safety measures put in place by the government.
Popular blogger by the name Malema who attended the burial streamed the funeral procession live on his Facebook page.
