As one way to show the world that he was really impressed with the new reality that in the next couple of minutes he’s going to be the official Governor of Nairobi city county, Johnson Sakaja couldn’t hide his happiness during his swearing in ceremony at KICC today on August 25th, 2022.

Sakaja who had just taken oath of office and signed three mandatory documents officiating his ascension to power was seated as the High Court Judge presiding over the ceremony was commissioning the same, when Zabron Choir’s ‘Mkono Wa Bwana’ praise song hit the speakers of the public address system.

Probably aware of the lyrics of that song and the deep message it carries, Sakaja couldn’t keep calm and kept nodding his head with respect to the song’s pace.

The seated dance was so obvious to anyone who could spot him and it hinted that if given a chance, he would’ve stood up and danced to show his happiness.

The dimpled youthful Governor also kept a happy face and could be spotted saluting at the public and displaying all signs of happy greetings to whoever he locked eyes with.

In that ceremony, the Governor was required to sign his Oath of office (in triplicate), Certificate of Inauguration (also in triplicate) and Commitment to the General Leadership and Integrity Code pursuant to Section 38 of the Leadership and Integrity Act.

The same papers were then handed over to the High Court Judge present to commission through signatures.

It’s also worth noting that the Governor had turned up for the ceremony accompanied by his family. That’s his wife and their three children.

Their two sons could be spotted rocking in grey suits that were complemented with black ties and extra shiny black official shoes.

On the other hand, his daughter had worn a pink sweater on top of a pink dress while his wife had worn a yellow dress as seen in the photos below.
